Celebrate a year of volunteering at the library with a pizza party!

Share your passion for reading and all things fibre arts with Orange thREADs. Join this friendly group for an afternoon of conversation and connection. New members are always welcome. 

Orange thREADs meet on the third Tuesday of every month.  

The After Hours Write Club is a writing workshop facilitated by local author Anthony Carnovale.  Meet at the Mill Street Library at 7 p.m.

Please register in advance to attend this program and don't forget to pack your writing supplies and, if you're like Anthony, a good cup of coffee. If the form is unavailable to register, please email libraryprograms@orangeville.ca to have your name added to the meeting list. 

The Next Chapter Book Club is a general interest book club that meets bi-monthly at the Mill Street Library.

This month the group is reading The Spoon Stealer by Lesley Crewe.

It takes a village to support the village! With various community partners, Queer Village hosts events geared towards 2SLGBTQ+ people and their allies who want to meet in safe spaces where everone is welcome. Meet in Alexandra Park at noon! Storytime with special guest Sapphyre will take place beside beside the gazebo behind Town Hall. This is a drop in program and those attending are welcome to bring their own lawn chair.

Drop by the library's information booth at the Celebrate your Awesome community info market from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to learn all about the programs we have planned for the summer.

Go to bat for bats! Special guest Mansfield Outdoor Centre is joining us to talk about the secret lives of these nocturnal superheroes, their importance to the ecosystem and the challenges they face with habitat loss and white nose fungus.  The kids will play a game to understand more about how they gather food and end the program with painting a flowerpot.  They will go home with the flowerpot and seeds for plants that are night blooming which attracts nocturnal insects, thus promoting bat populations.

After School Club is for children ages 7-12.  Please register to RSVP in advance to confirm your attendance.  Drop-in is welcome.

Guardians of children 9 and under must remain in the library for the duration of the program. Thank you for your cooperation.
