Indigenous History and Treaty Lands in Dufferin County – A Resource Guide
Julie grew up in the ancestral heartland of the Wendat Peoples (near Midland, ON) and on Treaty 16 Land. “I am descendant of some of the first Settlers to benefit from the colonization of what is now called Simcoe County. I am now on a journey to reflect, understand and act on my roles and responsibilities as a Settler-person and museum professional to support Reconciliation.” Through her studies and work as a Historical Interpreter at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, Julie developed a passion for research and exploring the links between past events and the present.
