Give your child a jumpstart to a love of reading by engaging in fun, interactive activities with your baby. This is a drop-in program for newborns to 18 months.
There will be time to socialize with other new parents after the program.
Every Child Ready to Read is an early childhood literacy program for children from birth to age five. Library staff will demonstrate ways to help children get ready to read, incorporating five activities: talking, singing, reading, writing and playing.
This is program is also offered on Friday, 10:30 a.m. at the Alder location.

Due to the pending storm, Social Justice Club is cancelled for this evening (Wednesday, February 12). We look forward to seeing everyone next week.
The Social Justice Club is a chance for youth to connect with one another and discuss issues facing our society (i.e. poverty, bullying, climate change, inequity), with the goal of building kind communities where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
Children and youth ages 7 to 12 will meet every Wednesday from January 15 to March 5 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

For King and Country: The Story of the No. 2 Construction Battalion
Join us for an inspiring evening with Kevin Junor, MMM, OOnt, CD, retired captain and Order of Ontario recipient, in partnership with the Dufferin County Canadian Black Association.
This event will highlight No. 2 Construction Battalion – the first and only all-Black battalion in Canadian military history – sharing the stories of Black veterans and their lasting impact on the nation.
Please note, that due to impending inclement weather, this event has been rescheduled and will no longer take place on Thursday, February 13. Please attend the rescheduled event on Wednesday, February 19 at 7 p.m. at the Mill Street Library.
