Swim into storytime like a fish! Ms. Shannon will share the beloved Rainbow Fish stories and a fun ocean themed felt board story. The fun starts at 10 a.m. on OPL's YouTube channel.
Literacy Tip: Find ways to make real life connections when reading stories to your little one. For example, when listening to a story about fish, ask your child if this story reminds them of anything and give prompts if needed i.e. “Do you remember when we visited the Ripley’s Aquarium and saw that big shark?”. “Where else have we seen fish?”. Questions like these may prompt your little one to make a text to self connection and/or share a story of their own. Such conversations will help your child connect more meaningfully to the story and will in turn, help foster a love of reading and storytelling.
Pick up a craft kit at the Mill St. location. It includes supplies for children to make their very own Rainbow Fish.
