The Way it Was - An Octogenarian, storyteller, and member of the Headwaters Writer's Guild, Clare McCarthy will reflect on the lighter side of his past 82 years.
Clare taught mathematics at Orangeville District Secondary School from 1965 to 1995. In addition to his love of numbers, Clare is an avid writer and artist. He has published four books which will be on sale at the event and has contributed editorial cartoons and about 100 columns to the Orangeville Banner over the years. When he is not writing, Clare can be found dabbling in the arts including life drawing, woodcarving, and photography. Clare gets inspiration for his creative works from his world travels including trips to the Amazon jungle, Kenya, Iceland, Patagonia, England the Seychelles and many more.
