How do engineers design a buiding to withstand an earthquake? Facilitators from the University of Waterloo Engineering Science Quest (ESQ) will teach participants all about seismic waves and the engineering design cycle. Attempt to build a structure stable enough to withstand an earthquake and test your structure with your very own 'seismic shaker'.
This session is appropriate for those in Grades 4 to 6.
Registration required to recieve the event link and participate virtually.
Required Tech: computer or laptop with an internet connection and a kit of supplies. Participants will need to pick up a kit of supplies from the Mill St Library before participating.
