Give your child a jumpstart to a love of reading by engaging in fun, interactive activities with your baby. This is a drop-in program for newborns to 18 months.
There will be time to socialize with other new parents after the program.
Every Child Ready to Read is an early childhood literacy program for children from birth to age five. Library staff will demonstrate ways to help children get ready to read, incorporating five activities: talking, singing, reading, writing and playing.
This program is also offered at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Mill Street library.

This year's event builds on the Government of Canada's theme "30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations - From Nation Builders to Tomorrow's Visionaries."

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Exploratorium, Orangeville Public Library's new hands-on makerspace. Featuring 3D printing, creative media, digitization, robotics and other maker technologies such as embroidary and other fine arts tools.
Join us for a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. as we celebrate OPL's new space for creativity, learning, and exploration at the Alder Street library.
The Exploratorium will be open that day, with scheduled lab hours to follow.

Junkyard Golf - No ifs, ands or putts! Come have a tee-rific time collaborating, creating and playing mini-golf at this month's After School Club!
This drop in program, for ages 7 to 12 years, takes place on the last Monday of the month from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Mill Library. No registration is required.
Please note, guardians of children 9 and under must remain in the library for the duration of the program. Thank you for your cooperation.

Take part in this interactive program that has something for everyone. Sing songs, listen to stories and rhymes, and play games that encourage literacy and learning.
Talking, singing, reading and playing are the key skills and fun ways to help your child get ready to read. Developing early literacy skills makes it easier for children to learn to read once they begin school, and helps to foster a lifelong love of reading and learning. No registration is required.
Recommended for age 5 and under. This is a drop-in program.
Every Child Ready to Read Storytime is also offered on Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. at the Mill Library.

Join us in the Exploratorium to learn the basics of 3D Printing, including how to find 3D model files or make your, then prepare them for printing and learn how to operate our 3D Printer (a Prusa Core One). Participants will leave with a 3D model that they have created.
This workshop is for adults ages 18 and older. Spots are limited, please register in advance to attend.
Please note, all programs in our Exploratorium require participants to review the Exploratorium Guidelines in advance and sign a Waiver.
