Join former Owen Sound Poet Laureate Richard-Yves Sitoski as he launches his recent collection of poems, "A Current Through the Flesh" (2025, Ronsdale Press), a book which puts the “fun” in family dysfunction.
Of the collection, Alice Major has said, “That tumble of figurative language, such unexpected but spot-on imagery. A mother ‘foursquare as a dresser shimmed with a crucifix.’ The father’s words ‘a brace of shot geese / tossed on the table / to prove to strangers / whose home they were in.’ So much energy, and applied to such complex subject matter — the energy of anger and love combined.”
Richard-Yves will read from this book and his others, and will be available for a chat afterward.
