Expert in the Library: What is Nature Journaling?

Event Details:

Experts in the Library features Nature Journaling expert Billie Jo Reid from Pine and Ponder.

Join outdoor educator Billie Jo Reid for an engaging introduction to Nature Journaling. Discover what it is, how to get started, and simple ways to use a journal to deepen your connection with nature. Billie Jo will also share how a nature journal can double as a travel journal, capturing both your adventures and the natural details that make each experience memorable!

This event is held after hours at the Mill Street Library. Please register in advance to attend.

Billie Jo Reid is the founder of Pine & Ponder Outdoors and an award-winning outdoor educator, recognized as the 2025 Canadian Wildlife Federation Educator of the Year. She has co-led numerous nature journaling excursions and works with schools and community groups to create hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences. Through her programs, Billie Jo supports curiosity, observation, and meaningful connections to the natural world.

Stay tuned for upcoming Nature Journaling workshops in the summer for both families and adults! Watch the OPL Events Calendar for details.
