On Thursday, August 6 we welcome special guest Anita Yasuda, award winning children's author, for a writing presentation. Get your pencils and pens ready as we dive into the behind the scenes of how to write a book. This program will include a read-aloud of Anita's Forest of Reading nominated non-fiction book: "Up, up, Ever up! Junko Tabei: A Life in the Mountains". This book explores gender barriers and how Tabei organized an all-women expedition to summit Mount Everts and become the first woman to reach the peak.
Ages 9 to 12 welcome. No registration is required.
