
Celebrate Hispanic Latin American Heritage Month with a movie screening of Nunca es tarde / It’s Never Too Late ( El Salvador).
This romantic comedy that tells the story of Ale (played by Cristina Meléndez) and Diego (Henry Urbina). The two grew up as neighbors and forged a friendship during their childhood, which blossomed into unrequited love in their teens. However, life separates them when Diego goes to study in Spain.
Twenty years later, Diego returns to El Salvador with a family secret that has kept him at arm’s length. Ale, who is in the midst of preparing for her best friend’s wedding, unexpectedly reunites with him. The film explores themes of love, friendship, and the importance of family, as the protagonists confront their emotions and the traditions that surround them.
The film is in Spanish with English subtitles.
